Dayton Habitat not part of pil

DAYTON -- The Dayton affiliate of Habitat for Humanity was not selected as a pilot project for a new initiative aimed at rebuilding crumbling neighborhoods in urban communities, its executive director said Friday, July 2.

Instead, Dayton Habitat will join 162 of its peers across the country as a "working group" that will be phased into Habitat's Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative in six months, said Diane Graham, executive director for Dayton Habitat.

"I was very hopeful, but they said the next phase would roll out in six months and to me that's a blink of an eye," Graham said.
