NOTTINGHAM Forest have been boosted by a significant rise in season ticket sales.
And chief executive Mark Arthur today responded by saying: "We are delighted with the continued backing of our supporters." The Reds have sold more than 12,000 tickets so far, with the deadline for discounted renewals having passed last weekend.
The figure is over 900 more than the club had sold this time last year, as Billy Davies' side prepare for another season of Championship football.
Arthur is delighted that supporters are omega de ville again throwing their weight behind the club at a time when the nation as a whole is feeling the pinch financially.
"It is very encouraging for the club that so many tickets have been sold," he said.
"The figure is around 900 up on where we were this time last season.
"When you consider all the other factors involved, that is superb as far as we are concerned.
"We know people are feeling the pinch financially, money is harder to come by for many.

Forest had the fifth highest average attendance (23,831) in the Championship last season, as Davies guided the team into the play- offs.
Newcastle's average of 43,387 was by far the highest, but with the Magpies having secured their return to the top-flight, another decent season could see Forest become one of the best supported sides in the division, if current sales levels are anything to go by.
Derby County (29,230), Sheffield United (25,120) and Leicester City (23,942) also finished above Forest in the attendance table last season.
