Provides Clear Evaluation of Business Options to Remedy Costly Trade Application

CHICAGO -- Clerity, a full-service provider of mainframe migration, modernization, and optimization solutions, today said it completed a comprehensive mainframe migration and modernization assessment project for a leading securities exchange in Latin America. The project provided the exchange with a clear understanding of the technical requirements and business impact of migrating from an IBM mainframe to open systems environment.

The exchange wanted to evaluate alternatives to retaining a costly post-trade transaction settlement application on the mainframe, and engaged Clerity migration experts to perform a Clerity Migration and Modernization Assessment Process (MMAP). A Clerity MMAP service provides a detailed analysis of existing mainframe assets and recommends technology options and project methodologies to migrate and modernize systems to scalable open systems platforms.

Clerity previously worked with NYSE Euronext, which deployed UniKix rehosting software to drive its clearing and settlement trading platform and dramatically lower cost-per-transaction rates. NYSE Euronext used the UniKix software to rehost its mainframe workload onto open systems.
